Candied Sweet

I shall never feel you soft, or taste the candied sweet.
Dance with you beneath the stars, or lift you from your feet.
To hold you close within my arms,
Be cast within your eyes.
I shall never be the man who lies beneath your sighs

How I long to run my hands, along each supple curve.
Glide with you, in tender spoon, to tingle every nerve.
To loose myself within you,
Your hair cascading down.
How I long to be that man, instead this lonely clown.

.

     I’m here

     Can you see me?

     I’m here within these lines.

     I’m here

     Can’t you hear me?

     I live within each line.

Sweet the words I write for you, to ease your worried mind.
Wipe the troubles from your world with dreams I help you find.
Your gentle spirit guided,
By the heart inside that’s true.
Sweet the words I write, but these … “My darling, I love you”.

I shall never feel you soft, or taste the candied sweet.
Dance with you beneath the stars, or lift you from your feet.
I shall never be so lost,
As I bring your lips to mine.
For you shall never meet the man, who writes this rhythmed rhyme.
